13 Mar 2009 - Comic Relief

We have fun celebrating Comic Relief!

On Friday we all had a great time celebrating Comic Relief again. Our P7 committee had organised some fun activities for everyone to enjoy. They had chosen the theme 'Mad Hatters!'

People arrived in school wearing all kinds of hats! There were hats that jingled when moved, cowboy hats with fur, brightly coloured hats - everyone had been very inventive! Some people had even been very Eco friendly and had made their own hats using recycled materials.

In assembly we were entertained by a group of P7s who did a 'Bollywood' style dance. Later they are going to teach this to the rest of the school so we can all join in.

Some P6 pupils then performed a dance routine to the Comic Relief song 'I Just Can't Get Enough'. We then had some jokes from each class - some vey funny jokes were told!

We also watched a video which told the story of some of the children who had been helped in the past by Comic Relief. This reminded us of how we can help others by having fun.

With everyone's help we raised almost £500! We hope this will let some more children in other parts of the world go to school and enjoy learning.

A big 'Thank You' to everyone who helped us raise this.
